Woot, Brian!
Duke's Wolf And Maryland's Farrell Earn ACC Men's Lacrosse Weekly Honors Presented By Chevrolet
Farrell had a tremendous two-game stretch for the Terrapins last week as well. The senior from Towson, Md., started things off by assisting on teammate Grant Catalino's first goal in the 15-6 rout of in-state rival UMBC. Farrell also led all Maryland field players with four groundballs vs. the Retrievers in addition to causing two turnovers. He followed that performance by setting a career-high with three points against St. Joseph's on two goals and an assist. Farrell scored his first goal just eight seconds after Maryland took a 1-0 lead. Farrell assisted on a teammate Curtis Holmes' goal following another face-off in the second quarter. In addition, he had a terrific bounce shot from 12 yards out off the face-off following Holmes' goal. Farrell was also solid defensively with two groundballs and two caused turnovers against the visiting St. Joseph's squad. Farrell also played a key role on the Terps' man-down unit, which held UMBC and St. Joe's scoreless in a combined six extra-man opportunities.
Not So Sweet Sixteen

Not much movement in the standings between Saturday and Sunday: Will, Drew, Minnie, and Keeley at the top; Scotty and Tom in the basement. The rest of us are middling at best.
What is interesting, however, are the possible points remaining (PPR) for the group:
1. Keeley 163
2. John 150
3. Aball 148
4. Will 142
5. Katie 139
6. Drew 128
7. Scott 125
8. Minnie 123
9. Tom 111
10. Chuck 82 (sads)
What this tells us is nearly everyone STILL has a shot at the coveted medal. Is it Thursday yet?

Ready for the weekend?
The upsets have been plentiful (not so hot now, Big East, eh?) and the games have been close.

There was a lot of movement in the standings on Friday:
In our league, the first and last place teams are separated by (only) 9 points. Not too shabby!

There was a lot of movement in the standings on Friday:
Will capped off the first round with an impressive score (26/32) to take the lead and knock Minnie (23/32) down to third with Kate and Keeley.
Boombali Chuck hangs on to second with a solid 24 correct picks.
John and Drew hang steady with 22 points; Tom, Alex, and Limp Wrist Scooter stagger towards the weekend with 21, 20, and 17 respectively.
And yet the fate of the Farrell medal hangs in the balance.
Onward!!

Standings after round 1

Day 1 in the books. For some it was a good day. For others, not so much:
Nolan (Rich?) and Kate are in with 11/16; Alex and Pretty bird Tat (Tom?) are sitting, er, pretty with 10/16.
Fear the... (Drew?) is at 9/16 and Limp Wrist Landes rounds out the group with 7/16.
If y'all "hid" your emails I have no idea who you are so speak up now. We need to praise and ridicule equally.
Round 2 starts....NOW!
