Occupy Wall Street
So I finally went down to check out Occupy Wall Street. It's a lot smaller than I expected. The people are definitely friendly and I walked through the whole tent city and saw a mix of smiling people, depressed people, debating people, and a decent turnout of weirdos. Here are a few pictures for those who are curious to see what it looks like.

Eamonn's show at the Kennedy Center
Mabou Mines Dollhouse, the show that Eamonn has been touring with off and on for the last (ahem) ten years now is coming to the Kennedy Center next week.

Annapolis Farrell population goes up by 4 overnight
The Ben Farrells (incl Justus, Nico and Erika...who is technically a Henderson) expanded the family union roster in Local 410 officially on Saturday, October 2nd by taking residency at 938 Langdon Ct, Annapolis, MD.
Initial agenda items for the family were:
- attend the Annapolis Boat Show, with aspirations WAYYY beyond their financial means
- attend a Navy football game
- eat...ahem, "pick" crabs
- buy a sailboat (see item 1 above)
- bask in the glow of being Brian Farrell's cousin. Good for a free beer at many local sports pubs.
- attend a Ravens game and figure out why they shout "O!" when there is no O in Ravens
- make T-shirts that say "Go Oravens!"
- surf fish Assateague, bring home dinner
- finally make that bowling date after Thanksgiving
We have no land line, so cell phones and email are the only way to reach us.

Erika 415.377.9913 erikahenderson (at) me.com
* looking for babysitters in the area.

World Wild of Animals
My friend Kurt wanted to make a web series so we decided to write fake facts about animals. I think this is probably rated PG-13 but then again - I'm an idiot.

Grace interviews Lonely Island
Grace got hired by G4 (FYI: For the over 30 crowd: its a cable network) to interview the SNL comedy group "The Lonely Island." She nailed it.

Big Day for Brian and Annie:

The most boring thing in the world.
LA is really fun. I've had dozens of augmentations and lifts since I've arrived. Basically, I have "lunch" with rich people and act like they're so cool and then write fart jokes for the PG-13 crowd. I am staying in the same hotel the Muchkins from Wizard of Oz stayed in while they were shooting. Other than that its zzz zzz zzz. I did do my first "pod cast" but I would say that you should only watch it if you have absolutely nothing else to do: http://youtu.be/hCNZNWEJmlQ

Farrell Fam Snaps' photostream
Farrell Fam Snaps' photostream on Flickr.
So I decided to create a flickr account for the family so that we could organize / pool images. The link is above and I'll put a link in the sidebar.
Anyone can feel free to use this. The login and password are the same as they are for this blog. Enjoy!

Proving that age is just a number
Auntie turned 90 this past weekend and celebrated by jumping out of a plane.
Ok not really, but she is going to be on a flight in an open cockpit airplane thanks to her kids/grandkids.
They also gave her the garb to go with it.
These are honestly the best photos I've seen in a long time.
HAPPY 90th Amelia Earheart Tunney !!!

Alex is the BIG WINNER!
Congrats to Alex for winning the 2010-2011 Farrell Family Brackets (and managing to have a semi-respectable bracket in an otherwise dismal NCAA Men's Bball Tourney.)
Drew, I know it pains you to let it go, but the medal must now be shipped out west where it will reside in a place of honor (TBD).
Bravo!

And then there were two
Sure there are FOUR teams left in the tourney, but only two competitors remain who could take the coveted, spectacular, gold (spray painted) engraved Farrell Family Bracketologist medal. And it all will be decided tomorrow in game two:
If Kentucky wins, Drew retains the prize and becomes the first back-to-back winner in the history of...well, this elite competition.
If Connecticut wins, Alex adds another prize to his fantasy sports trophy room--I hear he may put the medal up in the nursery to let the kid know what he has to live up to.
NEVERTHELESS, it is easier to be excited about a Drew or Alex victory than Calhoun or Calipari heading to the finals--like picking between Hitler or Mussolini.
Stay Tuned!

Elite 8
Frankly, we're all over the map, people.
Drew, Will, and Keeley retain some semblance of pick 'em pride at the top. Minnie, John, and Alex are middling while the rest of the Landes crew and the duo of Tomattie are in the basement.
HOWEVAH, there are other possible upsets a' brewin' :
Figuring in total possible points remaining, Will, Keeley, Alex and Tomattie have far and away the highest points total. It's really a 4 horse race at this point.
Who will be in contention after today's matches? STAY TUNED!
